Ben is a life sciences leader with over 20 years of experience in commercial and clinical supply chain management. Since joining Blueprint Medicines in 2020, he has overseen global supply planning, logistics, packaging, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management across the CMC spectrum.
As Vice President of Supply Chain, he leads a global team dedicated to executing the supply chain strategy for clinical trial materials and marketed drugs. He ensures that sourcing strategies align with clinical and commercial demands while managing international operations to optimize costs and enhance efficiency.
Before this, as Senior Director of Supply Chain from March 2020 to June 2021, Ben developed comprehensive supply chain processes, managed global logistics and trade compliance, and led multiple commercial launches. He negotiated key agreements with contract manufacturers and logistics partners to ensure operational efficiency.
Ben’s expertise spans the small molecule and large molecule space, with experience on both the sponsor and CDMO side. His career has seen him work for Lonza, ARIAD Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Takeda), Biogen, Shionogi, and Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he has contributed to the clinical development and commercialization of numerous programs both in the US and Internationally.
Ben holds an MBA in Operations Management from Syracuse University and a BA in Financial Accounting from the University of Sarajevo.
